It's amazing what a little paint will do!
Throughout the year, this will be the place to keep yourself informed of events not yet planned for a specific date, when forms are due, and to provide dates of events seemingly in the distant future. All events will lead up to Workcamp 2007 in Vandalia, OH. We will be leaving Emmaus, PA on July 21st, workcamp will start on July 22nd and end on the 28th, and we will return to Emmaus on the afternoon of July 29th. Fundraisers
Dog Tag Sale
– Each workcamper is requested to find one sponsor who will donate $75 to support the program. In return, the donor will give their workcamper a prayer request (as simple as their own name) that will be imprinted on a dog tag. The donor will also receive a dog tag with the name of their workcamper. During workcamp, the camper and the donor will promise to pray for each other and possibly keep a journal for their partner. (June-July)
Cookie Sale – An annual favorite, the workcampers will each bake 6 dozen cookies to be sold to the congregation on December 10.
Car Wash – Workcampers will host a car wash in the parking lot of a local establishment. (June)
Dinner and a Movie – Workcampers can cook a dinner for the congregation (probably spaghetti) and accept donations at the door. A movie will follow dinner, projected onto a wall in fellowship hall. We can also make our own “trailer” to show before the movie with quick interviews of campers on their workcamp experience. (Anytime)
T-Shirt Sale – Faith’s workcamp t-shirts have been a token of pride in our program. We can raise money by selling this year’s shirts to the congregation. We can even do ‘throwback’ tees dating back to our Canada trip! (Spring)
